Post Office Online App


The Indian Posts Payments Bank has introduced a mobile application ‘IPPB Mobile App’. Using Post Office Online App, new saving accounts can also be opened now.
Additionally, using the IPPB app, account holders can also view account balances and statements, transfer funds within the bank or to other bank accounts, raise requests for a checkbook, stop payment on a cheque,
use Sweep-in/Sweep-out facilities, and pay utility bills.

Post Office Online Apply


IPPB mobile app can be used by only those customers who have an account in core banking enabled post office.
KYC (Know Your Customer) of the account should be completed beforehand.
The account should have internet banking as well as mobile banking services enabled.
If not, the customer needs to fill up the below form with the pre-requisites document and submit it to the post office to get them enabled.

Pre-Requisites Document and Information

  • PAN number​.
  • Aadhar card.
  • Email ID.
  • Valid mobile number.
  • Valid Active Single or Joint “B” Savings account.

After registering for DoP Mobile Banking as mentioned above,
download the IIPB app from the Google play store and use the option “Login Now” and follow the pre-defined steps after 24 hours of registration.

Post Office Online App Download

This mobile app is available on Android as well as IOS platforms and can be downloaded to access mobile-based banking services of the Indian post office.

IPPB Mobile banking services are hosted on a platform that is modern, secure, and convenient. Currently below services on Mobile Banking:

  • Account Balance along with details : Saving, RD, LARD, TD, PPF,NSC.
  • Transaction History : Saving Account, RD, TD, PPF, Loan Against PPF, NSC.
  • Mini Statement : Saving Account, PPF.
  • Manage your money with the linked PO Savings Account by using Sweep-in and Sweep-out facility.
  • Requesting for Stop cheque(s).
  • Request for a chequebook (Current Account).

Existing Customer

Just follow these simple steps after successfully installing the app.

1 – Enter the information mentioned below:

  • Account number.
  • Customer ID (CIF) and DOB.
  • Registered mobile number.

2 – You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
3 – Set MPIN.
4 – Enter the OTP.

New Customer


A new customer can also open a post office savings bank account using the mobile app.
One needs to click on the ‘Open your account now’ option and enter the mobile number and PAN.

Currently available payment services:

  • Fund transfer from Savings account to Own/Linked PPF Accounts.
  • Fund transfer from Savings account to Own/Linked RD (Recurring Deposit) and Own/Linked LARD Accounts.
  • Transfer funds within the bank.
  • Transfer funds to other bank accounts.
  • Pay water, electricity and utility bills.
  • Recharge prepaid and direct to home (DTH) services.
  • Fund transfer from Savings account to Own/Linked PPF Accounts.

PO Online PPF

PPF account opened with banks cannot be accessed using this mobile app.
You can not request for new Post office PPF account and also can’t withdrawal using this app.
